8. Judging

Each high school project will be judged several times by individual judges, using the judging criteria of the Society for Science & the Public (SSP). Judging will continue until the finalist and alternates for the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair have been selected.

Projects are scored out of 100 points, with points awarded for individual and team projects as follows:

Students in grades 5-8 will be judged to determine the nominees for the SSP Middle School Program. The results of the judging for North Central District Science Day will be used to help determine the nominees.
