The following degree programs are offered by the School of Teaching & Learning on the Marion Campus.
An
undergraduate early and middle childhood pre-education program is
available through OSU Marion. This program prepares students for
application to the master's program for teacher licensure.
The program consists of a coherent pattern of courses, seminars, field
experiences, an internship (student teaching), and a master's capstone
project focused upon critical problems in education. The program is a
five quarter professional sequence during the regular academic year
(autumn-spring) for full-time students who seek teaching licensure. Most
courses are scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm,
while a few are offered late afternoon. Additional required courses maybe
offered during summer quarter. Beginning in AU 2007, all M.ED. candidates will apply for AU admission. The admissions deadline is Feb. 1, 2007. However, because this is a recent change for middle childhood admission, the deadline for applying to join the middle childhood cohort will be May 1, 2007 FOR 2007 ONLY.
