OSU-Marion Math Challenge Problem #6
Solutions due Monday February 18, 2008 at 5:00 pm
Find a polynomial equation in terms of x, that has integer coefficients such that x= sqrt(7) - 3 is a solution. Now find a second polynomial equation in x, with integer coefficients, having x=sqrt(3)+sqrt(5) as a solution.
Make sure to give an explanation of how you got your answer.

Correct solutions by current OSU-Marion and Delaware Center students will be recognized on this page and in Buckeye Briefs. The student with the most correct solutions at the end of the year will receive an award ($100 Gift Certificate)at the Academic Recognition Program in the Spring.
